The Ongoing Battle Of No Name

The Ongoing Battle Of No Name

Abandoned since Hurricane Irma, the north shore of No Name Key sits idle, destroyed, and polluted. We have already hosted Tourism Cares and ninety associates of Delta Airlines and Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines and began the assault on the west side. The northeast corner was done in a previous public battle last year if you recall, and we also hosted the Lynn University Lacrosse team and started to tackle the west side with two other private assaults. But the north side is the gap in the front line.

A generous offer from Greg Burkhart, a land owner on No Name Key, has given us unprecedented access to the north. There is ample parking with a private boat ramp … all for our use. This upcoming event is backed up by a free and even more fabulous cookout with Kiki’s Sandbar and Grille and also with support from our great friends at Winn-Dixie. This is going to be our best assault ever.

The Florida Keys are bigger than the US 1 corridor that everyone usually drives through. No one sees this … and that is about to change.

Family friendly, face painting, a serious scavenger hunt, prizes, and of course all of your biggest hearts who care about the devastated marine habitats and the ocean critters who called it home. This is where we draw the line, and cross the 3,000 volunteer network point that shows everyone … we move mountains. Join us.

Event Date: November 9th.
